Creative inspiration

Cake pops are a new addition to wedding dessert tables.  Instead of a wedding cake, you can find creative ways of displaying cake pops - easy to eat and all too pretty!

Who ever said an Arts & Crafts party can't be classy, was clearly not thinking out of the box! This is perfect for a girlie yet fun party!

To create that special uniqueness at your party, why not create personalised place mats! You don't have to just write the name of each guest.  You can add quotes or special thank you notes or maybe add a photo of the guest of honour?  Any way you do it, this will sure add that special touch to your event.

Bling Bachelorette

I must say organising a party outside town was not as tricky as I thought. We made poms poms with tissue paper to replace flowers (as we could not take that risk!) and was only in charge of decoration, the food was supplied by the venue. Favours were little carton "lady bodies" filled with chocolate covered peanuts to accentuate the theme of the event. Straws with kisses were a nice touch to the cocktails. I just love the cake!! So fitting for a bachelorette!!

Cars 3rd Birthday Party

For a little chap who adores the Cars characters, he sure got what he asked for!  Balloons were hanging from the ceiling and the table was covered in everything "Cars"!  Empty coffee tins were filled with sweets to take home, portrayed as oil cans and the food and treats were each named according to the sayings in the Cars movies. He was a satisfied little boy. Special thanks to my friend, Lee-Anne, who was in charge of this party as this was a present to her nephew for his birthday!

Creative Inspiration - PHOTOBOOTH

Do not underestimate the amount of fun a photobooth can create at your party! The kids LOVE posing in front of the camera with silly hats and things! The nice thing about it is that each child receives their own photo after the party as a souvenir to their fun day!  This photobooth was created at a circus party we did earlier this year. It's really simple....just put up a backdrop and scatter some relevant props and click away! This will surely keep them entertained!!

Barbie Inspired 4th Birthday Party

Little Kayline wanted a Barbie party to celebrate her fourth birthday in style...We decided on a soft pink (Pink being Barbie's favourite colour) with various black and white motives. Flavoured sparkling water replaced the usual cooldrink and added to the classy look we wanted to create.  Chocolate cream puffs and a selection of various chocolates were one of the yummy items on display.  We used Barbie cups (which was "jazzed" up a bit) for the popcorn and made chocolate coated marie biscuits on a stick to look like "handheld mirrors". Barbie's signature joghurt had the kids sorted with some healthy food and Barbie made sure each child could have their own Barbie labelled smarties!

First Birthday Parties Ideas

When having a first birthday party, it's better to have a theme that is not connected to a cartoon character as your little one might decide on a specific one as he/she grows up. It might put you in a difficult spot if you have a Mickey Mouse party when he's one and when he is three he insists on having the same! Of course it would be another story if you don't mind planning the same party.  You can always add a twist to it then!

Nevertheless, I have listed some inspirational ideas to spark that awesome theme idea of yours just waiting to make its appearance! Enjoy!

For the girls, why not have an ice-cream party!  It's perfect for the summer ahead and so many options you can decorate. You can use different colours, even if you want to have it for boys. As for keeping the kids busy, they can all decorate their own ice-creams!

For spring you can have a garden party, for a boy or girl! The ideas are endless and the colours are fresh! If you don't want to have a garden party, make pin-wheels the focus of your party! It's so easy to make and the kids would love it!

If you love something girly, a ballerina party stays a favourite. Again, you can add different colours to make it really special for that adorable little one of yours!

For the boys you can have a train inspired birthday party! Also, soooo many colours to choose from!

This one is really inspirational I would say. Although this is a monopoly party, you can choose any game theme you like! What a nice way of displaying a game kids enjoy and making a party out of it! Needless to say, they can keep busy by playing these games at the party!

Last but (by far) not the least, this nautical dessert table is ADORABLE!! I love this idea for a boy's party!! The boys can each make their own hat and add a scarf to it to finish off the look!

I hope this inspired you! I will add more on a later date! Happy planning!
